There are many different materials which can be sourced in sheet or plate format, and they have many different use cases and machine compatibilities. The Rapid Prototyping Studio offers a variety of CNC machine types, as well as materials in stock. This page is designed to inform you of the materials we have available, general sizes that we carry them in, where we purchase them from, and machine compatibility.
¶ Purchasing Sheet Stock and Other Materials From RPS:
Reservations for laser cutters, waterjet, CNC milling, and most other RPS machines are different from 3D printing reservations, as they do not include material usage in the reservation cost. This is due to the wide potential cost range of the materials available for these processes. For this reason, most users prefer to buy materials from the Rapid Prototyping Studio directly, through our online store. While some of the following materials are not sold directly through the online store, we include direct links to our preferred suppliers of these materials so that users can purchase them directly if desired.
